Im really peeved that you only get 68% of the book. If it wasnt written by one of my all time favorite authors i would not of purchased it for the price i paid. However it was beautifully written you got to meet 2 lots of siblings ready for war against the original characters. I cant wait to read the next installment.

This was a good book. It is a stand alone series, but a continuation/spin-off of the Seventh Mark series. There are some references from the original series that had me at a loss, since I hadn’t read that series. But I was not totally lost enough to quit reading, more puzzled enough to want to pick up that series to see what I missed. I didn’t like the cliff-hanger ending for a continuation in the series to see what happens next. The story flowed well, with a lot of mystery. I think the world building could have been a bit better, probably due to it being a spin-off from the original series.

Unfortunately there was literally no character developement and the readers are kept in the dark till the end of the book which spoiled the thing for me... Felt like: "Yeah I am a good story but buy the second book if you want me to make any sense..." So I did not buy the second book. I could hardly understand the motivation of the main character at the end... The last decision made was so weird that I could not care less...
