Ray didn’t have a single doubt that a number of individuals were wondering where he’d disappeared to. With luck it would stay that way…but if it didn’t he probably wouldn’t be around to worry about it.
Not even a week ago he’d arrived on the island with a windfall of money to his name but no where to go. Being given another chance was the last thing he expected when he arrived…or that it came from the man he’d looked up to since he was a kid. But he and Jonathan Hansen had a lot in common…most of which neither one of them wanted to talk about. It was hard enough to live with.
Now he was on his way to serve as a grounds-keeper of sorts to the long forgotten land that Jonathan’s ancestors had foregone to make the island their hidden sanctuary instead. He had no idea what he was going to find when he finally arrived…and neither did Jonathan. But they both wanted to know more about the Ryan land that had been too long forgotten…it was something else they had in common.
Then he discovered that whatever his role was to be…he wasn’t the only one in need of a hidden sanctuary and that neither he or Jonathan could have imagined how much of their shared heritage the forgotten land still protected within its acres of indescribable beauty…meadows filled with colorful blooming wildflowers he’d never seen before, groves of majestic trees, and other immeasurable treasures all protected deep within the heart of the canyon.
