The engagement of Ember, an Ardor Court Fire Fae princess, to Prince Weir, heir to the Aqua Pura Water Fae, faces the threat of being undone. A mysterious brewing conflict further complicates this issue. At the same time, Alpha prince Avin of the Amorist pack is also under duress: his forced engagement to Sayla, Luna princess of the Satyr pack.
