The Mysterious Woman: That Boyce Girl, 1941

Sally Boyce Rainey sells cars and pilots a biplane at a time when most women are homemakers, although World War II is about to change all that. In 1941, the world is at war, but the United States has so far stayed out of it.
When Hedy Keisler, a beautiful woman from Austria, approaches Sally’s husband seeking a job in Jeff’s factory, Sally wonders if it’s merely a coincidence that he recently landed a military contract. And Sally finds it even more mysterious when she catches Hedy with Bruno Smith, the German pilot of a new air cargo service.
Is it all in Sally’s mind? Is she simply jealous of Hedy’s intelligence and beauty? Or has the war in Europe finally reached America?
Set in a small town in Florida in the fall of 1941, the story follows Sally and her friends, as they snoop their way into serious trouble.
