Welcome to The Tropes and Triggers Masquerade Series, a collection of short stories. There will be tropes, and there will be triggers. A list of potential triggers are within the book. All stories are told in 1st Person, Dual POV and contain explicit sexual content. Each story focuses on a different Masquerade Match. They do not need to be read in order, but I recommend it.
“The Misfortunate and The Menage-a-Trois” is a hot and heavy short story. The content is SPICY, and the mood is sweet. The FMC has suffered misfortune time and time again. For once in her life, she wants to get lucky. Thankfully, her two hockey player MMCs are determined to convince her that some trouble is worth getting into (no matter how many rounds–and positions–it takes to persuade her).
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~The Mascot stood from the bed to grab the bottle. “We’re going to try again. I’m going to teach you how to taste.” He refilled her glass and set the bottle aside. He held up his glass as an example.
“First, look at the color and the bubbles. Tilt your glass in the light and observe. Second, bring the glass under your nose and inhale. Let the aromas lift toward you.”
She followed his steps, exchanging smirking smiles with me along the way as I also participated.
“Finally, you will take a sip—a sip!—and let it coat your tongue and fill your mouth. Hold it, then swallow. And taste!” he added with oomph.
He did as he prescribed, exaggerating the act. The Misfortunate and I shared a look, clearly reading each other’s mind despite knowing each other for under an hour. We both tilted our glasses back and swallowed the entire content like a shot.
The Mascot swore as The Misfortunate and I started laughing. He angrily grabbed the glasses from our hands and set them aside. I knew he wasn’t really pissed, maybe a little exasperated but equally entertained.
He stood before her, cupping her jaw in his hands as he stood over her. “Fine, you want something to chug and swallow? Then that’s what we’ll give you.” His eyes stayed on hers as he commanded me, “Brother, scoot onto the middle of the bed, on your back. I think our little cherry needs a meal with her drink.”
