The Crater Hermetis, or the Mixing Bowl of Hermes, is a fifteenth-century philosophical dialogue by Italian poet and mystic Ludovico Lazzarelli, in which a Ludovico Lazzarelli initiates a king into the secrets of Hermeticism. Drawing on the Corpus Hermeticum, Kabbalah, Plato, and Scripture, Lazzarelli argues that Hermes Trismegistus and Christ point toward the same transformative truth – that self-knowledge is the only path to the divine.
