A World of Haint
The 1930s Jim Crow South. Where survival means knowing which roads to avoid after dark, which officials take bribes, and which old women know the proper charms to keep evil at bay.
You’ll play flawed people trying to make their way in a hostile world—sharecroppers, musicians, preachers, criminals. Sometimes you’ll face down a haint in a midnight cemetery. Sometimes you’ll face down a sheriff who doesn’t see you as human. Both can kill you, but only one will let you stay buried.
This is horror rooted in history. The supernatural doesn’t explain away human evil—it feeds on it. Every choice marks your soul. Every bond with your community might be the thing that keeps you alive.
In a world designed to crush certain people, every act of kindness is rebellion.
