Box set of Books 1-5 in Crocodile Dreaming Series. Book 1, The Visitor, tells of how an English backpacker’s idyllic trip through the Australian outback becomes a terrifying nightmare when she finds out dark secrets about the man she is travelling with. She escapes but he dies, so she pretends nothing happened. In Book 2, The Victim, the man’s body is found in a remote waterhole. What is thought to be a crocodile attack turns into murder and she is charged and brought back to Australia to stand trial. In Book 3, The Void, she is in jail and slowly loosing her mind while police and friends desperately search for clues of what happened on that fateful day, a story she refuses to tell. If you want to keep going with the story after this box set Book 4, The Vanished. and Book 5, The invisible, conclude the series. These twio books tell the story of the search for five vanished girls, backpackers each last seen in in a different part of outback Australia. Fragments and clues are discovered but no solid traces. A man’s dairy tells their story. Then a person emerges from obscurity without memory who may be one. Gradually the pieces of her disappearance and others lives and fates are reassembled.
