Grumpy Cat Goes For The Gold

Random House has announced a series of three Little Golden Books based on Grumpy Cat. The first book, The Little Grumpy Cat That Wouldn’t, is scheduled for release on July 26th, 2016:

Keeping with the theme of Grumpy Cat, the first book’s story will highlight her resolution to say no to her friends’ suggestions of fun and new activities.

When it arrives on shelves, it will be priced at $4.99 and targeted to the 4-6 age group.

Yes, really.

Cyborgs, Price Filters, Stacks and Zombies – Oh My!

So, if you’ve been paying attention… you may have noticed I redesigned the site!

And, overall, the feedback has been great.

Except for one thing. The stacks.

Some of you have asked… what’s my vision?

Integrate everything in one section. And, for many of you, this idea works… unless you want to zone in specifically on the freebies.

OHFB readers have many different desires. Both in price point and genre. Trust me, I know.

And I get what you are saying. I’ve been talking to many of you in the new Book Club about this.

Here’s my solution:

A price filter.

Simple. Effective.

What’s next?

A human (cyborg?) powered “stacks”.  AKA, Ed powered.

Rather than show you an endless list of books of questionable quality that are free in the stacks, I’m going to do the heavy lifting.

Quality over quantity.

Oh. And why zombies? Because Fear the Walking Dead is on. No one is going to read this if I don’t mention zombies. Sorry, “walkers”.

I don’t want to upset anyone.

Thanks for being a part of OHFB. I wouldn’t be here without you.

Oh! I almost forgot! A SUPER IMPORTANT PSA. Apothic Dark is back this year. I got some (ok, a few bottles) over the weekend.
