    Inside Crochet !!!: Easy Step-by-step Guides !!!

Autumn is defi nitely underway now, and though I’m always sorry to say goodbye to summer, I do love to see the gorgeous colours of the trees as the leaves start to fall, as well – of course – as the opportunity to dig out plenty of handmade jumpers, cardigans and scarves! We’ve got some gorgeous autumn makes for you this issue as well, from Catherine Waterfi eld’s stunning granny square jumper on page 36 to the amazing Tunisian colourwork scarf on page 52. Or if you’re after something seasonal that you can hook in an evening, then turn to page 54 for our gorgeous acorn necklace design. Though I have to admit that my personal favourite this month is Emma-Jayne McKenzie’s Lighthouse Shawl on page 58, with its clever design moving from striped lighthouse to scalloped sea waves. It’s currently at the top of my autumn “must make” list! It’s no secret I’m a big fan of hand-dyed yarns (my handmade sock and shawl collection is quite extensive!) so I was delighted to interview some of my favourite dyers for our feature on page 84 – hand-dyed yarn really does add an extra-special personal touch to a project. Finally, this month we’re publishing the last part of our mystery crochet-along – turn to page 26 for the fi nal section of Sarah Shrimpton’s gorgeous shawl design. I can’t wait to see everyone’s fi nished projects!Happy crocheting…
