Back to Earth

A continent-sized space station, Toroid, initially constructed by Earth, orbits the sun between Earth and Mars. A hundred years after holes in the ozone have decimated and irradiated Earth, Toroid has become the most powerful and prosperous state in the solar system. A Toroid senator who advocates separation of church and state is exiled to a slowly rebuilding Earth through the influence of church elders. She searches for the church’s origins on Earth, hoping to find evidence to discredit the church.
