Electra’s Lightning: a Sci-fi Novel

Katrina is a beautiful reporter on the run from the mafia assigned to cover the unveiling of a floating city in the South Pacific Ocean. After a harrowing flight on a dilapidated 737, she arrives with her mute partner Marty in Electra, the world’s first floating city. A computer and robotics magnate and his amazing computer Al are constantly expanding the boundaries of science and technology. A quirky doctor working with Al discovers a cure for cancer, and his attractive assistant develops a virus vaccine that uses technology instead of drugs. The announcement precedes a declaration of independence on the international news, and the president of the United States is angry. Just when Katrina is starting to feel safe, her boss orders her to attempt to steal the medical technology, but she’s desperately unhappy and trying to find a way out. Technological advancements proceed at a dizzying rate, amazing robots move like cats, and a drunk and disorderly is zapped by purple beams and carried away on an inflatable stretcher. Katrina finds herself in a wonderland of incredible technologies and gets swept off her feet, and sparks fly in this futuristic love story in the tropics.
