The end of the world requires some assembly.
Architect Gareth Fegman only wanted a new bookcase, and some time away from his girlfriend.
Instead, he gets trapped inside HÖM: a giant Scandinavian furniture megastore full of impossible room displays, brightly coloured throw pillows, suspiciously cheap meatballs, and homicidal customers.
As society collapses outside, Gareth finds himself armed with nothing but an Allen key, several tiny pencils, and a growing suspicion that he may not have all the tools to tackle the apocalypse alone.
The store’s endless showroom maze quickly turns into a battlefield of flat-pack fortresses, improvised weapons, terrible decisions, and increasingly aggressive interior design.
Flatpack Apocalypse is a darkly funny Australian horror-comedy about zombies, retail hell, and the fact that like furniture, building a new society sometimes requires another person to hold everything still while you work on the fiddly bits.
