How can there be God’s will when there is no God?
His name is Lucas, Latin for “Bringer of light”.
Like his sister Catherine, he’s a victim of child abuse. Dad will not stop his aggression until he’s out of breath or out of sexual perversions. Mom will weaponize Christian beliefs to quell any resistance.
The violence ends on a fateful night with Cat’s final act of freedom for herself and sacrifice for Lucas. His last conversation with Cat is a watershed moment. Lucas will not be the bringer of light; he will bring nothing but darkness into this world. With the help of his vigilante group, the Godless Creatures, Lucas intends to bring the religious establishment to its knees, one symbol after another.
But before he is faced with the fickle fame as the leader of a terrorist group, his private life takes a dark turn. In a bid to save himself, he leaves behind two accomplices at the scene of a heinous crime. On the run from the law and his archenemies, Lucas will have to learn to navigate an underworld fraught with revenge, broken loyalties, and uninhibited violence.
