Danny Baker, newly graduated from training in Salt Lake, has returned home to Rexburg, Idaho to serve in her community as a nurse and a midwife. Her mother is determined to see Danny married and settled as soon as possible, but Danny has other ideas. She spent too long in training to not use her skills, and when the opportunity arises to go help her sister-in-law deliver her baby, Danny makes plans to head to Leadore, Idaho by way of Dillon, Montana with her best friend and her friend’s brother.Luke Bridger has done all he can to keep up his family’s sheep farm in the wake of his father’s death, but a letter arrives from his best friend asking for help on his farm up in Leadore, as his wife is due to have their first child soon and he could use an extra hand. When tragedy strikes for his sister, Maggie, their timeline is sped up, and Luke and Danny rush to get Maggie back home to Montana. Little by little, Luke has watched almost his whole family pass into eternity. Once again, Luke is forced to grapple with his family’s mortality, but this time, there is a little boy who needs a home and family to love him. Will he be able to give the little boy the love and family he deserves all by himself, or could he find a way to build a family with the friends who have always stood by his side?
