A fugitive from “The Great Whole,” he has abandoned the perfection of digital streams for the fragility of reality. But the transition is a disaster: stripped of his memories and marked by golden irises he cannot explain, he finds himself at the mercy of a dying station.
His only ally? Silas, a reception android with worn-out protocols, whose mechanical politeness hides an increasingly troubled processor.
Together, they must delve deep into the planet’s steel entrails to escape starvation and the deviant machines prowling in the shadows. In a world where entropy reigns supreme, Elian will learn that becoming human again is the costliest sacrifice he has ever made.
