I fought for every rung on the hockey ladder, and finally I’m almost there. A fluke injury put me in an NHL game, and I earned the win.
But I almost lost my shot because of a drunken post game rant about the woman hockey player who shared the net with me. I couldn’t tell anyone that I’d just discovered her father was my sperm donor, the guy who knocked up my mom and left, not without hurting other people.

Until the team decided we were done.
It’s either hockey, or her. It should be a no-brainer, but…
