If we find ourselves having to live on our own without the help of anyone else, we will find new ways to acquire the necessities we will need to survive. Many of those things will have to come from our neighbors. We will have to find ways to pay each other for the things we need to survive. It is always a good idea to be as self-sufficient as possible, making our own food and shelter and clothing. That’s not always possible. Sometimes you need to rely on other people, those who live near you, who have the skills to do some of these things. This is when you will need some kind of currency. If the government stops working, our money will be worthless. We will have to find ways to pay each other for goods and services.
