A DARK FANTASY/SCI-FI NOVEL that combines romance, friendship and the desperate fight for survival in a hostile, high-stakes environment. In the Erebus, a hijacked highly-advanced simulated reality, there is no such thing as mercy, and every moment may be your last.
“War! Flames rise across the continent as Esther’s army faces the combined might of the rebellion and Emerald Spear forces. Despite calling the provincial lords to her aid, Lord Drevyn deals a series of catastrophic blows on the northern front, while Maisie and the others launch a full-scale invasion from the west. However, time is running out! The daunting Eternal Oasis draws closer with each passing day, and whether our heroes will reach Zanithol in time to stop it is a pressing question. Desperate to find out more about the mysterious threat, Jaden dives deeper into his tormenting past, leaving himself vulnerable to feelings he’d never been able to control.”

Book excerpt:
His eyes widened, and his nostrils flared, but he said nothing to counter her accusation.
“We’re not real anyway, right?” she added.
A feeling of shame and regret hit him as he realised he was still aiming his glowing hand at her. He slowly lowered it, forcing himself to regain control through each inhale and exhale.
Tori’s face turned from neutral to concerned, then terrified. But she wasn’t terrified of him. She was terrified for him.
“Talk to me, Jaden,” she pleaded. “What did you find?”
Jaden kept sitting on the floor, staring at her. His lower lip began to tremble as he considered where to start and what to say. He couldn’t keep her in the dark, not after all the support she’d given him in unravelling this mystery. On the other hand, he definitely couldn’t tell her the truth.
Cautiously, Tori came closer and sat on the floor beside him, then slung her arm over his shoulder and grasped it firmly.
“Please, talk to me,” she asked again. “Whatever it is, I promise I’m on your side.”
Jaden felt the sincerity of her words. She really believed it, but he knew the truth. If he showed her… she would turn on him. She’d be right to.
