The Boy in the Yard

Eleven year old Liv and her brother, nine year old Dez, are sent to their grandmother’s house in the country for a couple of weeks in the summer holidays.When playing on an old tyre swing in the garden, they catch a glimpse of a teenage boy in the yard of the neighbouring farm. Later events make them fear for his safety and the two children are then faced with the dilemma of what to do about him.Liv is determined to take action -“This is up to us, Dez. I’m not leaving him there while people take their time deciding what’s the right way of going about rescuing him!”Dez nodded, a serious expression on his face.”Are you in?
