DCI Thurstan Baddeley takes over his new desk at the local Police Force’s Major Investigations Team and, naturally, he’s expecting to deal with a few odd murders, it’s what they specialise in.What he didn’t anticipate was the arrival of an assassin, and certainly not one who seemed so reluctant to leave.It doesn’t take him long to realise he’s not dealing with an organised crime ‘hitman’.
