Fate assigns roles to every living creature, but for me, it isn’t fate that chose the role I have to play. My role was chosen by a madman hiding in the shadows of my past. He calls himself the Artist and I became his Muse.
The Muse:
The world of crime is a vile and dark web ruled by the most sinister minds. A web I’ve been a part of against my will… but I escaped. I got away and became everything they hate and fear. In the process, I buried my family, their vile crimes, secrets, and sins in the past.
But when he emerges from the shadows, determined to show me he knows everything, down to my deepest, darkest secrets and fears, I have no choice but to return to the very heart of the mafia I once fled. Unless my family can protect me from him, I’m left at the mercy of my stalker.
The Artist:
Her porcelain skin is the canvas, and I, the Artist, crave to trace every delicate contour, even if I have to in blood. But she ran, she left her life and disappeared into the night. Too bad she didn’t know the Muse can’t escape the Artist. Not if the Artist is desperate to paint.
It took only a few years for her to return to the place she once fled. My muse is back where she belongs—a small, scared fawn hiding within the safety of the monster’s den. But not for long.
