I envy victims who despise their perpetrators. Hatred is a powerful, motivating force. It mobilizes troops. Whereas guilt—well, it can be debilitating. My name is Lucifina. Billions of years ago, I lived in Heaven with my twin brother, Satan. Satan is the most charming and charismatic leader ever to exist. But he frequently challenged God. Thus, my brother used his rhetorical skills to organize his followers: Mammon, Beelzebub, Belial, and Moloch. A fierce, large-scale war in Heaven ensued. The revolution was long and bloody. We fought artfully through a systematic strategy known as “quick, quick, slow.” Unfortunately, we were no match for Gabriel and the Son of God. These two fought boldly against Satan and his rebel angels. In the end, our ragtag army was ousted from Heaven. We took refuge in Hell and set up our capital city of Pandemonium. Some of us preferred exile. After all, we were finally free. However, my brother isn’t one to give up easily. His valiant efforts to destroy Earth have consistently failed. Thus, I was repeatedly sent to Earth—always as an attractive woman. I was Hell’s secret weapon. My mission: to recruit and ultimately control leaders throughout the world. So much has been written about Satan. Rarely, if ever, does anyone discuss his twin sister. Now it’s my turn. Everyone needs to know about Lucifina. This is my story. If you seek a tale about a virtuous heroine who consistently does the right thing, might I recommend any other book?
