A Spark I Saw Coming, One Preservation Project, and More Than a Little Luck
Reid Lawson, my best friend’s brother, is quiet, outdoorsy, and perfectly content. But when he agrees to be my fake date to a family wedding, the potential shines through.
I’m all color swatches and bold ideas; he’s more… neutrals and “let’s keep it simple.” Somewhere between working on a historical preservation and sharing coffee breaks, the project starts feeling less like work and more like something I look forward to.
And maybe it’s the Brownstone’s odd knack for lucky coincidences, but every time I’m here, I feel like we’re being nudged closer. With the whole neighborhood watching, I’m starting to wonder if I’m here to preserve a building, or am I building something else entirely?
Sweet romance, opposites attract, and just the right touch of lucky charm.
