Richard (17), Romy (14), and Gus Obretch (12), lived ordinary lives before their parents divorce, a move to Amsterdam and then being forced to spend their summer vacation at their estranged grandparents house. Before their visit, they experienced strange visions, voices, sensations and chaos at their academy of Magpies Flight. Soon after they arrive at their summer destination, action speeds up and stakes run high as they’ll stumble through passages that transport them to different dimensions, because their grandparents’ house was built on sacred land.
On their dangerous journey, they meet and collaborate with friends who reveal to them the truth about their life history, and about the magical essence of humanity and how their full potential has been kept secret from them for generations.
