KINDLE

A warm, gentle picture book about being different, finding belonging, and learning that being yourself is enough.

In a very red world full of bright, shiny apples, one little green apple feels like he does not quite match.

The red apples laugh together.
They talk together.
They fit together.

The green apple watches from the side and wonders what it would feel like to belong. He tries to move like the others, stay close like the others, and be more like them. But the harder he tries, the less like himself he feels.

Then something quiet begins to change.

With soft watercolor illustrations and simple, heartfelt storytelling, The Green Apple in a Very Red World helps children understand big feelings in a gentle way. This story is perfect for children who have ever felt different, left out, quiet, unsure, or not quite like everyone else.
Children will love the expressive green apple and friendly red apples, whose sweet faces and heartwarming moments bring the story to life.

A sweet picture book for parents, teachers, classrooms, libraries, and bedtime reading.

This book reminds children:

Being different is okay.
Belonging does not mean changing who you are.
Being yourself is enough.

About the Author

Jaiveer Singh Rawal is an 11-year-old student from New York City and a passionate young storyteller. He loves noticing everyday moments, big feelings, and the little things that help children feel seen.

Jaiveer is proud to be a Sikh boy growing up in a diverse city. At school, he is often the only student wearing a patka, a Sikh head covering he wears with pride. That has helped him understand what it feels like to be a little different.

Through this story, Jaiveer hopes to encourage kindness, confidence, and the courage to be yourself. Most of all, he wants every child who reads this book to remember one simple thing: being yourself is enough.
