Mythical, historical and scientific secrets are hidden in a small prairie town, and thirteen-year-old Adam may be the only one able to protect the biggest secret of all.
A centuries-old organization within the tiny town of Grayson protects many secrets – from unknown scientific discoveries to the truth about the mythical island of Atlantis, along with information that ties it to historical events from around the world.
Thirteen-year-old Adam McTaggart and his wise-cracking friends have always assumed that Grayson is just another boring small town on the prairie, but the destruction of a nearby town and disappearance of all of its residents forces them to believe they might also be in danger.
After listening to theories from one of the many unique townspeople, Adam and his friends begin a quest to uncover Grayson’s mysterious past. During their investigation they unlock a strange network of underground tunnels and find objects that seem straight out of science fiction magazines. When they discover the existence of the secret organization controlling everything in Grayson, the group soon understands that their boring small town is much more exciting than they had always believed it to be.
But someone is coming, looking for an ancient power protected by the secret organization, and they are destroying towns as they draw near.
Can Adam and his friends learn everything they need to know in time to protect their town, its people, and the biggest secret of all?

What Readers are Saying:
"Never before have I enjoyed, nor anticipated a series this great since Harry Potter … I have devoured each book in this series so quickly that I get a little sad as I reach the ending! Thankfully, there is more in store for Adam and his pals, and I will be (im)patiently waiting their next adventure!" – Becky
"…I’m an avid reader and often get bored with the the same old stories over and over. This book was refreshing in its original plot. Was enjoyable to read." – Josh Hochman
"…Excellent story / read from start to finish. good pace and characters. Best part is that there is closure at the end – even though this is a series." – Thomas DiMarino
“I love a good story with adventure and suspense and no foul language! Perfect story for teen boys especially. Can’t wait to read part 2!” – Darlene Yaz
“Five stars! Great story, full of twists, full of action. It’s quite long, I thought it would get slow after a while, but that was not the case. It was keeping me on my toes all the way to the end. A must read!” – Atilla Beno
“I read a lot, but not much what I would consider science fiction. The exception being Robert Heinlein, I would compare this book to his early books for teens. Best compliment I could give.” – Amazon Customer
“Exciting and well written. The dialog was natural and the characters were well developed. I liked the way the author wove several historical events into the story. Overall it was a very good science fiction story and I will probably read more of the books in this series.” – Jim Sibigtroth
Bugs are for the birds!
Lisbon is hungry and it’s hard to wait for dinner. When her animal friends try to help her find something tasty to eat, the real the problems begin! Join Lisbon on her funny misadventures.
Each beautiful illustration is designed to inspire the imaginations of children. An activity page at the end of the book allows for more fun as they search for special items in the illustrations.
This version of I Don’t Want to Eat Bugs has been designed specifically for ebook with a fixed layout and larger text for easy reading. While this is a great read-aloud book for parents, teachers, and other adults to share with children, we have chosen fonts that are similar to the way children form letters for easy recognition as they begin to read on their own. The print book is also available in 8.5” x 11” format.
I Don’t Want to Eat Bugs was written for my daughter, who was two when I wrote this story and didn’t like salad, but now she’s four and a half and loves it—if I give her plenty of salad dressing! (But don’t worry—this isn’t a book about eating salad.) Of course birds, cats, and dogs have a very different idea of what’s good to eat, but through this fun adventure, Lisbon learns there is also food meant just for her—and it’s good, especially compared with all the offerings from her animal friends.
My daughter and I privately call this book the "Ice Cream Story" (she LOVES ice cream so there had to be ice cream involved), and now whenever something funny happens, she says, "We should write a new ice cream story about that."
And we have! I Don’t Want to Eat Bugs is the first book in a series called Lisbon’s Misadventures. Book 2, I Don’t Want to Have Hot Toes, is now available, and Tim Petersen is hard at work creating the illustrations for the next two books. Tim is obviously a fabulous artist, and I’m excited to be working with him. You can sign up on my website to learn when the next book comes out (http://teylarachelbranton.com/). Thank you and enjoy!
Dripping with Mark Twain’s iconic wit and wisdom, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer chronicles young Tom and his best friend Huckleberry Finn on a life-changing journey of mischief, intrigue, and excitement.
Ghostly footsteps, haunted mirrors, stolen treasures…welcome to the Rosebud Academy.
Up until a few weeks ago, eighteen-year-old Lissa Anderson drank, smoked, and partied hard as she tried to forget the sorrow of her best friend’s death. But now that she’s seen the error of her ways, she’s determined to be the straightest arrow at Rosebud, an elite summer program for classical musicians.
A spooky old dormitory, overprivileged students, and hours at the piano make the program into everything Lissa expected. What she didn’t expect is her quickly-budding romance with a cellist, the series of thefts related to scary stories, or the ghost determined to get Lissa’s attention. If she’s willing to face her own skeletons, Lissa’s rebellious past might help her unlock the future.
NOTE: June’s Blood is the first book in a trilogy, and the entire series is available now. The story in this book is complete, but there are unresolved questions to be explored in the second and third books.

“Shades of THE HUNGER GAMES permeate a story centered around two courageous teens determined to buck all odds in an effort to regain their loved ones. ….ARENA ONE builds a believable, involving world and is recommended…for those who enjoy dystopian novels, powerful female characters, and stories of uncommon courage.”–Midwest Book ReviewD. ARENA 1 is book #1 in the Bestselling series The Survival Trilogy, which also includes ARENA 2 and ARENA 3.
New York. 2120. America has been decimated, wiped out from the second Civil War. In this post-apocalyptic world, survivors are far and few between. And most of those who do survive are members of the violent gangs, predators who live in the big cities. They patrol the countryside looking for slaves, for fresh victims to bring back into the city for their favorite death sport: Arena One. The death stadium where opponents are made to fight to the death, in the most barbaric of ways. There is only one rule to the arena: no one survives. Ever.
Deep in the wilderness, high up in the Catskill Mountains, 17 year old Brooke Moore manages to survive, hiding out with her younger sister, Bree. They are careful to avoid the gangs of slaverunners who patrol the countryside. But one day, Brooke is not as careful as she can be, and Bree is captured. The slaverunners take her away, heading to the city, and to what will be a certain death.
Brooke, a Marine’s daughter, was raised to be tough, to never back down from a fight. When her sister is taken, Brooke mobilizes, uses everything at her disposal to chase down the slaverunners and get her sister back. Along the way she runs into Ben, 17, another survivor like her, whose brother was taken. Together, they team up on their rescue mission.
What follows is a post-apocalyptic, action-packed thriller, as the two of them pursue the slaverunners on the most dangerous ride of their lives, following them deep into the heart of New York. Along the way, if they are to survive, they will have to make some of the hardest choices and sacrifices of their lives, encountering obstacles neither of them had expected—including their unexpected feelings for each other. Will they rescue their siblings? Will they make it back? And will they, themselves, have to fight in the arena?
ARENA 2 (Book #2) is now also available, and ARENA 3 (Book #3) is now available for pre-order!
"Addicting…ARENA ONE was one of those books that you read late into the night until your eyes start to cross because you don’t want to put it down."–Dallas Examiner

Does losing her dog mean losing everything?
Rose Howard is obsessed with homonyms. She’s thrilled that her own name is a homonym, and she purposely gave her dog Rain a name with two homonyms (Reign, Rein), which, according to Rose’s rules of homonyms, is very special. Not everyone understands Rose’s obsessions, her rules, and the other things that make her different – not her teachers, not other kids, and not her single father.
When a storm hits their rural town, rivers overflow, roads are flooded, and Rain goes missing. Rose’s father shouldn’t have let Rain out. Now Rose has to find her dog, even if it means leaving her routines and safe places to search.
Hearts will break and spirits will soar for this powerful story, brilliantly told from Rose’s point of view.
This is the story of a boy and his weasel, a bird and a snake, India and the British Empire. Rudyard Kipling’s dramatic tale, here excerpted from the greater volume of The Jungle Book, is the story of the loyal mongoose, Rikk-Tikki-Tavi, and the lengths to which he must go to protect his adoptive human family.
