The Holy War: Made by Shaddai Upon Diabolus for the Regaining of the Metropolis of the World

More than 100 Original IllustrationsBonus Content: The Life of John Bunyan, by William Brock For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the lords of this age, rulers of this darkness, against spiritual wickedness in the heavens. (Ephesians 6:12) What if you were able to see your life from a spiritual perspective and see the actual reality of the verse above? How does our enemy, Diabolus, plan and carry out his attacks? How do his demons help, and what are their objectives? Why and how must we petition Emmanuel to get His attention and help in this great, holy war? Written four years after The Pilgrim’s Progress, John Bunyan followed up with this second allegorical classic, which has touched hearts and minds of readers for generations. The epicenter of this book is the town of Mansoul, its people (such as Conscience, Self-Denial, and Do-Right), and its gates (Eye-gate, Ear-gate, Mouth-gate, Nose-gate, and Feel-gate). The attack by Diabolus and his demons, all of whom have appropriate names, is carefully planned and executed. As still happens to men today, Mansoul fell hard. Emmanuel is of course willing to help, but can only do so on special, seemingly strict terms. As you watch this intense battle unfold, you’ll be emboldened to fight with new vigilance, to guard the gates with tenacity, and to rely on Emmanuel’s sovereignty like never before. It should be noted that John Bunyan focused not so much on biblical sequence or even perfect accuracy in every aspect. Instead, he honed in specifically on the spiritual battle being waged for each individual soul, filling in other details as needed to create the scenes. In this edition, we updated the text to clarify the meaning of each scene and inserted Bible verses in key areas to bring to light the depth and spiritual meaning of this powerful allegory. About the AuthorJohn Bunyan was born in November 1628, in Elstow, England. A celebrated English minister and preacher, he wrote The Pilgrim’s Progress (1678), the book that was the most characteristic expression of the Puritan religious outlook. His other works include doctrinal and controversial writings; a spiritual autobiography, Grace Abounding (1666); and the allegory, The Holy War (1682).

Free Inspirational Women’s Fiction Sampler: Souls of the Sea Series Sampler

Who doesn’t need a little inspiration in their life? In this faith inspiring series, author April Geremia intertwines God and the sea with mystery-themed stories about people battling impossible situations. Readers have left reviews saying the books increased their faith, made them view life differently, and one reader even said the books made her want to be a better person! And while those are some great reasons to read the books, the truth is you’re taking a chance on a relatively new fiction author. That’s why I’m proud to offer you this FREE sampler. With it, you’ll be able to read generous portions of the books in this series for free and then decide whether you want to keep reading. In this sampler, you’ll find inspirational Christian fiction, romantic mystery/suspense, and women’s fiction that’s truly tissue-worthy. Here’s an overview of the books you’ll find in this sampler: The Fragrance of Surrender (Souls of the Sea: Book 1) What would cause a woman to stand on the edge of a cliff deciding whether to slip over it or to live another day? How bad would it have to be? And what if she can’t turn to God because she believes He’s the root of all her problems?  Set among the fragrant sweet smell of ripening orange tree blossoms, this emotional story is about a woman who battles God for the right to determine how things should be. Gabriella’s life has been filled with tragedy, including the mystery of why her own parents disappeared one night, leaving her alone at a tender young age. Soon after her husband dies, she and her son move to her childhood home—a house on a cliff by the sea in a village that time has left behind. It’s there that she and some local villagers begin the process of bringing her parent’s old orange grove back to life. As Gabriella begins to put together the pieces of why her parents abandoned her, she soon learns they were victims of powerful forces that threatened to tear apart the quiet little village by the sea. And that knowledge, along with all the other losses she’s experienced, causes Gabriella to view God with great suspicion and fear. So when her young son experiences a dramatic conversion and begins to serve Him, an all-out battle ensues. During this time, Gabriella often feels called to the edge of the cliff, torn between letting herself slip over it and ending the pain, or fighting for a happiness she’s not even sure exists. Will Gabriella continue to do battle with God? Or will she come to have faith in the God she blames for all the tragedies she’s suffered?  And what role will her young son play in her decision? The Leap of Forgiveness (Souls of the Sea: Book 2) What if everything you’ve ever been told is a lie? When Joshua was just a young boy in the 60’s, he was told his mother took her own life and left him to be raised by an emotionally absent man and a woman who had slipped into insanity because of the death of her own child.  Those circumstances affected every aspect of Joshua’s life but it wasn’t until he met Isabelle, the red-haired bookstore owner on Bell Island, that he realized just how emotionally stifled he was. He loved her, but his tragic past kept him from fully committing. And Isabelle was tired of waiting. Then lavender scented letters began arriving in Joshua’s mailbox. The letters were signed “Mama,” and they filled in the missing pieces of his early life with his mother, including why her own turbulent love story caused her to walk into the ocean one day in her best suit. They also contained God-inspired wisdom that had the potential to set Joshua on another path.

The Way to God – Updated Edition

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness – 1 John 1:9 There is life in Christ. Rich, joyous, wonderful life. It is true that the Lord disciplines those whom He loves and that we are often tempted by the world and our enemy, the devil. But if we know how to go beyond that temptation to cling to the cross of Jesus Christ and keep our eyes on our Lord, our reward both here on earth and in heaven will be 100 times better than what this world has to offer. This book is thorough. It brings to life the love of God, examines the state of the unsaved individual’s soul, and analyzes what took place on the cross for our sins. The Way to God takes an honest look at our need to repent and follow Jesus, and gives hope for unending, joyous eternity in heaven. About the AuthorDwight L. Moody, determined to make a fortune, arrived in Chicago and started selling shoes. But Christ found him and his energies were redirected into full-time ministry. And what a ministry it was. Today, Moody’s name still graces a church, a mission, a college, and more. Moody loved God and men, and the power of a love like that impacts generations.

All About Jesus: the Single Story from Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John

Who was Jesus? What did he say? What did he do? This book is all about Jesus. It puts together the story of Jesus’ life and message told by the people who knew him best–his disciples and friends–as recorded in the four Gospels of the Bible. Although the words were written over 2000 years ago, his message of peace, hope, love, and forgiveness still resonates with people of all races, nationalities, educational, and economic backgrounds. Some like what he said, while others disagree, but almost everyone finds him compelling. The story of Jesus comes to us from four different authors, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, written over a period of nearly seventy years. The message and uniqueness of Jesus remain the same, but each author tells the story from his perspective and for his purpose. Some writers wrote more; others wrote less. But what if we could read it as one single story from beginning to end? This book does just that by combining the four reports of Jesus’ life into a single chronological story, using the easy-to-read text of the NIRV Bible. Take a new look at Jesus– his life, his miracles, and his teachings–and to come to your own conclusions about the carpenter from Nazareth. This book was produced in collaboration with Biblica (formerly the International Bible Society).
