What Is Repentance?
All people have sinned and broken God’s law. None of us are good (Rom. 3:10). And as a result of our sin, God commands us to repent. But what does repentance look like? In this booklet, Dr. R.C. Sproul looks at several people in the Bible and how they give us a model of repentance. Dr. Sproul explains that true repentance is not simply a religious ritual or the resolve to do better next time. Rather, it’s a spiritual conversion in which we turn from our sin and to God in faith. The Crucial Questions booklet series by Dr. R.C. Sproul offers succinct answers to important questions often asked by Christians and thoughtful inquirers. Read more$0.00$12.99 -

The Messiah Conspiracy – a Gripping Medical Suspense Thriller
Looking for a new thriller writer to fall in love with? Get this gripping conspiracy now! For all thriller fans and readers of Dan Brown, Sam Bourne, Scott Mariani, John Lyman, David Baldacci or James Patterson. Could this really happen in the near future? A young student at Oxford University has an idea for his doctor’s thesis (PhD), which fulfils not only the criteria for ‘originality’, but goes far beyond it. For if Jason Dyke is right, his idea will soon change the world and shift the delicate balance of power from one nation to another. Jason’s idea is simple: In the genetics laboratory at Oxford University, he will clone Jesus Christ. But when the CIA finds out about his plan, the President of America realises that if the UK succeeds, the balance of power will shift from the USA to Europe. And he realises that the only way to stop this happening is for America to create its very own clone of Jesus Christ. The race is on... Whoever reads this book will never forget it. And they will ask….one of two questions:-1:Is it really possible?2: When will it happen? What people have been saying about this book:-Awesome Read: ‘I read many books and this one was one of the best I have read. I loved it and think I will read it more than twice. It was the kind of book that was almost impossible to put down. Very glad I bought it and would recommend it to everyone.’ A Thumping Good ‘Must’ Read!: ‘Browsing the Kindle store for something to ‘unwind’ me, I chanced upon this excellent gem of a book. The characters are totally believable, able to deduce and thwart the plans of the Americans and British governments and to hide the true Messiah. A well thought out and researched book by the author, I was totally absorbed in it from start to finish. Believers & non-believers alike will enjoy this thumping good read!!! Far better than the Da Vinci Code by a country mile, I am certainly recommending this to all my many friends.’ Well Written: ‘I was looking at a different book, Dan Brown Inferno and this title came up on a reviewers comments suggesting it to be worth a read. I have to agree, it is. Loved the idea of cloning Jesus and for me it was written well, had page turning elements to it but I was disappointed when it ended. In a nice way though! It does leave one hanging…’ Totally preposterous, but enthralling! : ‘I just happened on this book while browsing to find things to download to my Kindle. The premise of the book captured my interest so I duly downloaded it. And, I loved it! The story is utter nonsense, let’s be honest – recreating Jesus Christ through cloning?! But, it is written in such an engaging manner that I found myself drawn in unwittingly. Mid-read, I actually broke my ankle and I found myself begging my family to bring my Kindle to the hospital so I could continue reading the book! I would recommend this highly to anyone else, with the proviso that they suspend belief and read it for what it is – a truly interesting and captivating piece of fiction!’ Book One of Two Parts: Please note that Book One continues seamlessly into and is concluded in Book Two. Trying Book One is an excellent way to get to know this exciting new author! Alternatively, readers are recommended to purchase the full omnibus edition containing both Book One and Book Two. Take the Shilling: a Military Science Fiction Novel
“Military science fiction [concentrating] on the psychology and politics of societies in conflict.” —Analog, on the Confederated Worlds series The Confederated Worlds implanted in Tomas’ brain the skills to make him a soldier. He had to learn for himself how to survive interstellar war. Tomas Neumann sought escape from his backwater planet and overbearing mother, and a mentor to replace his long-dead father. “Taking the shilling”—enlisting in the Confederated Worlds military—promised both. But despite the soldier’s skills implanted in his brain, combat against fellow humans, especially ones who should have welcomed him as a liberator, threatened to destroy him, in body and in spirit. Grieving for lost comrades, demoralized by harrowing combat, could Tomas learn what he needed to survive, before facing his war’s ultimate challenge? Take the Shilling is the first book in The Confederated Worlds series. * * * Want to learn more about science fiction author Raymund Eich? Here’s a Q&A to tell you more about this distinctive voice in new science fiction. First off: Raymund Eich. Am I spelling it correctly? And how do you pronounce it? That’s the correct spelling. My immigrant parents split the difference between the Anglo-French Raymond and the German Raimund. My last name is pronounced with a long-i vowel sound, like both syllables in Einstein. The preferred consonant sound is a sh. Overall, one syllable, eye-sh. Tough to pronounce, and also tough to spell. I’ve seen Elch, Einch, Etch, Eitch, Iech, Eric, and Erich. The misspellings used to bother me, but I’ve grown philosophical about them. What are some of your publishing credits? I’ve had short stories published in Analog science fiction and fact magazine and the sci fi anthology Surviving Tomorrow. And over a dozen novels and six short story collections are available as ebooks and paperback books, and some also as audiobooks. Why did you write a military science fiction series? Writers are always looking for settings full of conflict, because conflict makes good stories. Wartime has many conflicts. Not just the obvious between armies or space fleets. There are interservice rivalries. Personality clashes. Officers versus enlisted. Soldiers versus civilians. Military necessity versus political considerations. Above all, conflicts in human minds and human hearts. Self preservation versus self sacrifice. The moral paradox of killing for a higher purpose. That last conflict has scarred many ex-soldiers back in their civilian lives. No matter how just your cause, it’s tough to fight a war and keep your honor intact. Another motivation I had to write this series was that a lot of prominent sci fi writers wrote war stories. Heinlein, Haldeman, Drake, Weber, Scalzi, and dozens more. I wanted to see if I could measure up. Military SF is a crowded subgenre. What makes the Confederated World Series stand out? One obvious way is the Confederated Worlds universe has no aliens. There’s no easy “humans good, aliens bad” moral framework. The conflicts in the books are between human interstellar republics fighting each other. The biggest point of uniqueness is something Analog book reviewer Don Saker noticed. The series gives a lot of attention to the politics and psychology of wartime. Tomas becomes a psychological casualty in book 1, and how he heals from that changes the end of book 1 and sets him on his path through the rest of the trilogy. Final question. Science fiction, sci fi, SF, speculative fiction, or spec fic? Is it an adventure on future Earth, an exploration of a distant planet, a discovery beyond the limits of human knowledge, or a journey across deep space? Then I’ll read it. The genre fiction label doesn’t matter. Read more$0.00$0.99 -
