My conclusions. What is remote viewing? Remote viewing is a learned skill based on a strict protocol harnessing a fundamental ability shared by human beings everywhere. We all have an innate ESP ability to varying degrees. We may think of it as intuition, but what if I was to tell you there is a learned skill that enhances this natural ability? What if I was to tell you it’s possible to learn to control this ability in much the same way as a martial artist trains their body to break through preconceived physical and mental barriers? That learned skill is remote viewing. Remote Viewing uses the ESP we are all born with to view a distant or unseen object utilizing a disciplined approach originally developed under the auspices of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) in the 1970s. I am a trained remote viewer with over a decade of experience. Some of my early remote viewing sessions are online. Many of these were archived by third-party websites such as the Way Back Machine. The sessions are available to the public. In Book 4 of the Remote Viewed series, I provide a link to some sessions I posted online in 2014.

Envy, Poison, & Death: Women on Trial in Classical Athens

This is an open access title available under the terms of a CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 licence. It is free to read at Oxford Scholarship Online and offered as a free PDF download from OUP and selected open access locations. At the heart of this volume are three trials held in Athens in the fourth century BCE. The defendants were all women and in each case the charges involved a combination of ritual activities. Two were condemned to death. Because of the brevity of the ancient sources, and their lack of agreement, the precise charges are unclear, and the reasons for taking these women to court remain mysterious. Envy, Poison, and Death takes the complexity and confusion of the evidence not as a a riddle to be solved, but as revealing multiple social dynamics. It explores the changing factors—material, ideological, and psychological—that may have provoked these events. It focuses in particular on the dual role of envy (phthonos) and gossip as processes by which communities identified people and activities that were dangerous, and examines how and why those local, evenindividual, dynamics may have come to shape official civic decisions during a time of perceived hardship. At first sight so puzzling, these trials reveal a vivid picture of the socio-political environment of Athens during the early-mid fourth century BCE, including responses to changes in women’s status and behaviour, and attitudes to ritual activities within the city. The volume reveals some of the characters, events, and even emotions that would help to shape an emergent concept of magic: it suggests that the boundary of acceptable behaviour was shifting, not only within the legal arena but alsothrough the active involvement of society beyond the courts.

Morning by Morning [Annotated, Updated]: Daily Devotional Readings

Morning by Morning Charles H. Spurgeon’s devotionals Morning by Morning and Evening by Evening have inspired, encouraged, and challenged Christians for generations. Spurgeon, with his masterful hand, carefully selected his text from throughout the Bible and covered a broad range of topics, in order to present a well-balanced and fruitful daily devotional for readers both young and old. Now updated into more-modern English for today’s readers, and again separated into two volumes as originally published, with morning devotionals in one volume and evening devotionals in the second. We chose a 11-point font for the sake of legibility, and formatted the devotionals so each fits on a single page. January 1(Sample Devotional) They ate some of the yield of the land of Canaan during that year. (Joshua 5:12) Israel’s weary wanderings were over, and the promised rest was attained. There would be no more moving tents, fiery serpents, fierce Amalekites, and howling wildernesses. They came to the land that flowed with milk and honey, and they ate some of the produce of the land (Joshua 5:11). Perhaps this year, beloved Christian reader, this may be your case or mine. The prospect is joyful, and if faith is active, it will yield absolute delight. To be with Jesus in the rest that remains for the people of God (Hebrews 4:9) is an encouraging hope indeed, and to expect this glory so soon is a double delight. Unbelief shudders at the Jordan River that still flows between us and the good land, but let us rest assured that we have already experienced more affliction than death at its worst can cause us. Let us dispel every fearful thought and rejoice with exceedingly great joy in the prospect that this year we will begin to be forever with the Lord (1 Thessalonians 4:17). A part of the multitude of saints will remain this year on earth to do service for their Lord. If we are in this group, there is no reason why the New Year’s text should not still be true. We who have believed enter that rest (Hebrews 4:3). The Holy Spirit is the pledge of our inheritance. He gives us “glory begun below.” In heaven they are secure, and on earth we are preserved in Christ Jesus. There they triumph over their enemies, and we have victories too. Celestial spirits enjoy communion with their Lord, and this is not denied to us here on earth. There they rest in His love, and here we have perfect peace in Him. They sing His praise in heaven, and it is our privilege to do the same here. We will gather celestial fruits on earthly ground this year, where faith and hope have made the desert like the garden of the Lord. Man ate angels’ food long ago, and why can we not do so now? O for grace to feed on Jesus and to eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan this year! About the Author Charles Haddon (C. H.) Spurgeon (1834-1892) was a British Baptist preacher. He started preaching at age 17 and quickly became famous. He is still known as the “Prince of Preachers” and frequently had more than 10,000 people present to hear him preach at the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London. His sermons were printed in newspapers, translated into many languages, and published in many books.

Evening by Evening [annotated, Updated]: Daily Devotional Readings

Evening by Evening Charles H. We chose a 11-point font for the sake of legibility, and formatted the devotionals so each fits on a single page. January 1(Sample Devotional) We will rejoice in you and be glad. (Song of Solomon 1:4) We will rejoice in you and be glad. We will not open the gates of the year with the notes of a mournful song, but with the sweet strains of the harp of joy and the high-sounding cymbals of gladness. O come, let us sing for joy to the Lord, let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation (Psalm 95:1). We, the called and faithful and chosen, will drive away our griefs and set up our banners of confidence in the name of God. Let others lament over their troubles, while we who have the sweetening tree to cast into Marah’s bitter water (Exodus 15:23-25) will magnify the Lord with joy! Eternal Spirit, our powerful Comforter – we who are the temples in which You dwell will never stop adoring and blessing the name of Jesus. We will rejoice, for we are resolved to do so. Jesus must have the crown of our heart’s delight. We will not dishonor our Bridegroom by mourning in His presence. We are ordained to be the singers of the skies. Let us rehearse our everlasting anthem before we sing it in the halls of the New Jerusalem. We will be glad and rejoice. Glad and rejoice are two words with one sense: double joy, blessedness upon blessedness. Does there need to be any limit to our rejoicing in the Lord even now? Do not men and women of grace find their Lord to be nard and saffron, calamus and cinnamon even now (Song of Solomon 4:14)? And what better fragrance could they have in heaven itself? We will be glad and rejoice in You. That last word – You, Jesus – is the delicacy in the dish, the kernel of the nut, and the soul of the text. What joys are laid up in Jesus! What rivers of infinite delight have their source and every drop of their fullness in Him! Since, O sweet Lord Jesus, You are the present portion of Your people, favor us this year with such a sense of Your preciousness that from its first day to its last we may be glad and rejoice in You. Let your January open with joy in the Lord, and close your December with gladness in Jesus. About the Author Charles Haddon (C. H.) Spurgeon (1834-1892) was a British Baptist preacher.
